Put a tower together from the whole metaBOX system - cases,
the rack and a toolBOX, on the roller board - see it in 3D, and take away
the part list it comes to.
Step by step
- Choose the base. On the roller board stands the
tower on the wheeled board; switched off, it stands on the floor.
- Add the pieces. Pick a Component - a case by size
class, the Rack 265 or one of the four open toolBOXes - set the
Quantity and press Add. Adding one that is already in the
tower counts it up. Add one of each puts in every case and the rack
once, no toolBOX. A tower stops at 100 pieces or 10 m.
- Let it stack. With Sort it on, the tower orders
itself the way the Size Finder's stack does: the longest case at the
bottom, then the deepest, then the tallest. A toolBOX is open at the top,
so nothing stands on it: it always goes on top, and a tower takes one.
The 63 XS is smaller than the interlock the others share, so it goes on top
too - on its own or several on each other. The top is a toolBOX or XS
cases, not both: adding one takes the other off.
- Or put it in your own order. Drag a row of The
tower by its ⠿ handle - or focus the handle
and use the up and down arrow keys - or press Move cases and pull a
case up or down the tower in 3D: it slides out to the front, and drops in
between the two it is level with. The toolBOX or the XS cases on top stay
there. Either turns Sort it off; turning it back on sorts the tower
again.
- Change it. Under The tower, − and +
change how many of a case there are, × takes it out, and
Clear tower starts again.
- Look at it. Drag to turn, scroll to zoom, right-drag to
pan. Iso, Iso back, Front and Side frame the
whole tower again.
- Take the list. Part list names every component and
how many, with its size and weight; Download CSV saves it for a
spreadsheet or an order, Save PNG saves the view, and Copy link to
this tower sends someone exactly this tower.
Worth knowing
- Cases do not sit flat on each other: the lid's rim stands 10 mm proud and
the next case's underside is recessed to take it, so every case above
another adds its height less 10 mm. The roller board's deck works the same
way.
- Every case from S to XL carries the same interlock under it, aligned at the
front and centred on the length. A mixed tower lines up at the front, and a
bigger case overhangs the one below at the back and the sides. The roller
board's deck takes S, M and L; an XL or XXL locks down and overhangs it.
- The 63 XS is shallower than that interlock: it locks into what it stands
on at the front, but not at the back, and sinks into it by less than the
10 mm.
- Weights are PLASTON's empty weights: the cases' from the catalogue, the
roller board 3.8 kg, and a toolBOX the closed case it is built on less
0.4 kg. The total includes the board when the tower stands on it.
- The 63 XS, 100 S and 95 M are drawn with their lids 70% see-through, as
they are moulded clear.
